Troy Ackerman, the owner and only disc jockey for Dancin' Tracks.	Hi!  Thanks for stopping by my web site.  My name is Troy Ackerman and I am the only disc jockey for Dancin' Tracks DJ Service. My life as a DJ started in 1989 while attending school at the University of Minnesota Morris.  I hosted a weekly 2 hour radio show on the campus radio station, KUMM, and had a great time spinning records and playing requests. In 1991 a dance club was opened on the UMM campus and I was one of the first DJ's hired. I  had the chance to learn which songs would get people up out of their chairs and onto the dance floor. Additional honing of my DJ skills occurred at KMRS/KKOK in Morris where I was an on-air announcer for 3 years.
The first special event for my newly formed business (Dancin' Tracks DJ Service) was in 1992. Since then I have had the pleasure of performing at over 700 events.  In the fall of 1998 I left my full-time sales job at KMRS/KKOK in Morris in order to focus all of my energy on Dancin' Tracks.  This is now my full-time occupation.  I live in Minneapolis and perform at special events in the Metro area and in Western Minnesota.  I am currently the house DJ at the Village Inn Sports Bar in Glenwood on most Fridays.  Being a mobile DJ has been very fulfilling and I feel very lucky to be making a go of it!
